Update on our guys...
Gonzalo was terminated from probation!
Gonzalo has been enrolled in YWAM LA’s Project 2:52 program for over a year now. He started in Project 2:52 at Camp Louis Routh, a probation camp for young men ages 16 to 19. The YWAM program offers GED Tutoring, California Exit Exam Tutoring, Higher Education Preparation, Life Skills Classes and Biblical Counseling for youth incarcerated and in transition from incarceration. Gonzalo enrolled in Higher Education Prep and Life Skills training which prepared him for enrolling in college and choosing a career. Upon his release he enrolled in UTI, a local trade school. He is six months into auto mechanic training and has a B average. On April 29th he was terminated from probation for the first time since he was 16 (he’s now 19). Because of his enrollment in school he was not sent to County Jail for probation violations. He’s now been given the opportunity of a different lifestyle than the one offered him previously by gangs in his neighborhood.
Please pray for:
Him to stay out of trouble even when he’s not on probation
Good relationships with his family
That he would continue to be motivated and do well in school
A Good job
