"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock." -Matthew 7:24-25

Jesus was exhorting His follwers to not just listen to His word but to put it into practice. The house He was talking about could be your life. Unless it is built on a solid foundation it will not stand the demands and challenges of ministry in the 21st century. That's why God called us to create and present to you the School of Ministry Development.

The SOMD is:

• 

  Designed as a highly interactive journey that helps you figure out who you are and how you will better fit into God's overall plan as He expands His Kingdom on earth.
• Will provide tools to teach you how to take a vision and turn it into a reality. Many ministries have been established through the SOMD.
• Will model and teach servant leadership along with many other YWAM values.
  
• Will expose you to the concept of Discipling Nations by challenging your worldview with a Biblical worldview.

The SOMD will expose you to a variety of youth, urban, and other cutting edge ministries in this amazing city.

We don't want to just fill positions in this world, we want to be effective in those positions God has called us to. If you want an effective ministry you must live it.

The SOMD focuses on working out of your strengths and gifts while continuing to discover God's calling on your life. It teaches you in order to be effective you must always submit your gifts to your calling.

Someone once said that "good is the enemy of great" and that's why we're not satisfied with only running a good program. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are constantly improving this program through frequent intercession and aggressive feedback from our staff and students. No school has ever been the same and even the focus of each school may shift based on the Holy Spirit's leading.
