Designed to encourage students in personal character development by cultivating their relationship with God and identifying the call to missionary vocation.

This focus equips students with the knowledge and opportunity needed to take a long-term stand against human trafficking locally and globally. Students will have the opportunity to learn about and experience ministry in the areas of trafficking prevention, outreach to victims, and recovery for those who have been exploited. This is an incredible opportunity to determine what type of ministry you are called to and how to use your gifts and passions in ministry.

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL

THE DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL (YWAM DTS) SEEKS TO IGNITE A GENERATION WHO SEEKS GOD’S FACE. DTS WILL IGNITE YOUR PASSIONS, CALLING, AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CREATOR. IT IS FOR THOSE WHO LONG TO FOLLOW JESUS IN RADICAL WAYS AND BRING HIS NAME TO EVERY NATION

THE IS A FULL-TIME DISCIPLESHIP INTENSIVE COURSE THAT LASTS FIVE MONTHS. IT CONSISTS OF TWO PARTS:

LECTURE PHASE
The first 11 weeks of DTS are spent on the campus at YWAM Los Angeles living in community, worshipping, praying, serving, and studying God’s character. Each week, you will soak in teachings from outstanding speakers regarding your unique calling and God’s limitless attributes. Our DTS’ offers different focuses that will allow you to develop your specific dreams alongside like minded individuals. In your focus you will cultivate skills and vision through weekly break out sessions and one full week of teaching dedicated to the focus you choose. Not only will you be poured into, but you will have a chance to bring the hope of Jesus through creativity, prayer, worship, and outreach within your focus area to those living in Los Angeles. You will come face to face with a Father that loves deeply, calls you higher, and sends you to be His messenger.

OUTREACH PHASE
Following the Lecture phase, you will take a 2 month journey being God’s hands and feet to the nations during the outreach phase. The love of God will ignite the flame in your heart to reach the lost, heal the sick, and see His power released. All outreaches have three components: evangelism, practical ministry and partnership with local churches and ministries. You will embark on an adventure working with the followers of Jesus who make God’s name known to every lost soul. Outreach is an exciting time to be Christ’s ambassadors, meet those caught in darkness, and bring them to the feet of Jesus. Each DTS track will be sent to different locations around the globe. You will see God’s presence unleashed firsthand and partner with Him in impacting society with the revelation of His reckless love.

FINANCES

PREREQUISITES
You must have completed high school or be at least 18 years old.

ACCREDITATIONS
University of the Nations Credits: (DSP 211, 212) These credits may be applied to a UofN degree program or transferred to other participating colleges or universities. Learn more about UofN accreditation.

In most of our schools, outreach locations are revealed in the first month.
