What is the Urban & Arts DTS?
The Urban & Arts DTS is an invitation for you to reach out to the lost and hurting people of our world through the creative arts. God being the creator himself has given each and every one of us a desire to create. We all bring something unique and different to the table. The worlds population is moving into cities at a growing rate and we want to see God’s people come together, using the gifts He’s given us, to bring light and truth into the urban areas of our world.
THE LECTURE PHASE
The lecture phase is a journey in encountering and knowing God that will forever transform your life. Speakers from all over the world will bring profound insights into topics such as The Nature and Character of God, Recognizing God’s Voice, The Father Heart of God, Intercession, Evangelism, and much more.
God has placed our campus at the front door of one of the most diverse and influential cities in the world. During your lecture phase, you will be given opportunities to reach into the heart of the city with the love of Christ. Ministry will range from serving the homeless on Skid Row to evangelism on university campuses. God will use you to make an impact in this city where the need for Jesus is so great.
YWAM LA is an international and multicultural community of staff and students who worship, pray, serve and live life together. In this diversity, a unique classroom and living experience is created where God imparts His heart for the nations to each of us.
THE OUTREACH PHASE
A YWAM Discipleship Training School outreach is a 2-3 month journey into the nations where each student has plenty of opportunities to apply the transformational principles learned during the lecture phase. By partnering with local ministries and participating in evangelism and mercy ministries students will leave a lasting impact on the world.
Tuition must be paid in full on or before the first day of the lecture phase. Outreach fees are determined at the time the outreach locations have been identified and announced.
You must be at least 18 years old and/or have completed high school
