The WISE Workshop was a vision born out of a training school that YWAM LA offers by that name. WISE stands for Worship, Intercession, Spiritual Warfare, and Evangelism. We believe that these topics are not just subjects to study and have knowledge of, but spiritual disciplines to be practiced in the daily life of every believer. That is why it is on our heart to offer these workshops free of charge to anyone- we believe that living a life of Worship, Intercession, Spiritual Warfare, and Evangelism is not just for a select few “super-spiritual” people, but all believers. We have personally experienced the power that comes from practicing these disciplines and learning to be led by the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Our desire is to help others be equipped to do the same.
In these Workshops, you will hear from experienced teachers and speakers on the subjects of Worship, Intercession, Spiritual Warfare, and Evangelism. We believe that practice reinforces and solidifies learning, so a key part of the Workshops is practical application of the content that the teachers share. There will also be demonstrations of the various subjects and testimonies of what God has done in our lives through these practices.
We hope to see you at our next Workshop and pray that you will be deeply impacted by what you learn, equipped to practice these life-changing spiritual disciplines, and encouraged with a deep desire to know God and make Him known to others through your life.
Our prayer is that through these workshops, you will be better prepared to, “be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put[ting] on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” -Ephesians 6:10-12
MORE ABOUT THE FOCUS
After hosting our first Workshop that covered all the topics of WISE (Worship, Intercession, Spiritual Warfare, and Evangelism) we received lots of positive feedback and were asked to host more! But one thing we knew from the start, which was confirmed by attendees, was that we should go deeper into each subject. You asked, and you shall receive! We are now going to host a series of four workshops diving deeper into the spiritual disciplines of WISE.. starting with Worship!
Our desire is for you to know what true Worship is, why we worship, and how we worship. There will be teaching from multiple speakers on different facets of worship, and our goal is that you would not only have a better understanding of the subject but feel better equipped to practice it and incorporate it into your everyday life. There will be demonstrations of worship and practical applications of the subject matter that we study.
Come with an expectant heart to meet with God and give Him the glory and honor He deserves!

This will be our second workshop in a series of four that will cover the topics of WISE (Worship, Intercession, Spiritual Warfare, and Evangelism) in depth!
Intercession is a powerful tool that many believers do not truly understand or utilize- and our heart is to inspire you in this workshop to recognize the power of intercession, the authority that we have when we pray in Jesus’ name according to God’s will, and the utmost importance of practicing this discipline. Jesus taught us to pray that God’s will be done on earth… and there is a hurting world out there waiting to be impacted by your prayers and intercession!
Come learn from experienced intercessors and be inspired by the powerful testimonies of those who have witnessed God move and work on our behalf through prayer. Don’t be held back any more by passivity, but learn to take action by being led by the Spirit of God through intercession!

Spiritual Warfare can intimidate people, confuse them, or both. What is it? What is it not? Do we have to engage in spiritual warfare as believers? These are some of the many questions we hope to answer in this workshop. We will cover what spiritual warfare is, why we engage in it, and how we engage in it.
There is a battle being waged in the spiritual realm, and we plan to equip you to stand firm and fight for the Kingdom of God. Our prayer is that the truth of God’s word would dispel the confusion and lies surrounding this often misunderstood topic. Come prepared to be trained as a soldier in God’s army to accomplish the good works that He set before us to do.

Jesus called all to make disciples, not just the extroverts and public speakers. One thing we are convinced of is that we were all wired to share the good news that we have in our hearts- the gospel of Christ. But let’s be real… for many of us, “Evangelism” is a scary concept. We don’t want to offend anyone or push them further away from Christ, and many of us really don’t feel equipped to Evangelize and make disciples. It’s hard to talk to strangers, we might not be very outgoing, we hate public speaking, we don’t have all the answers to the difficult questions we might be asked… But is Evangelism what we think it is? And if Jesus expects us to do it, why do we feel so unprepared to do it?
Just as we believe that you cannot be in right relationship with God without right understanding of God, we believe that right understanding of what Evangelism is will give you freedom to be the person God created you to be, and use your unique personality, talents, and gifts to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission to make disciples. A critical part of our workshops is learning by doing, so practical application will be a vital part of this workshop.
Come to our workshop with an open mind, willing to have your beliefs challenged and your faith encouraged. Our heart is that you would leave this workshop more confident and equipped to be the disciple-maker that Jesus created and called you to be.
